The stress and uncertainty created by mergers, acquisitions, downsizing or restructuring is debilitating because of the extent of emotions that come into play. Fear. Distrust. Hurt. Anger. This can last for months or even years as the corporate action unwinds and plays itself out. Negativity, cynicism and mistrust must have an impact on productivity, performance and client relationships.
